Hostinger vs Bluehost

By Cathy Riddell · Prices checked 4 Nov 2026 · Last updated 4 Nov 2026

Short answer: On the US sites, Hostinger is cheaper both to start and to renew on its entry plan: Premium is US$1.99/mo on a 48-month term (a Black Friday offer, US$95.52 upfront) and renews at US$10.99/mo, with 3 websites. Bluehost Starter is US$3.99/mo on a 36-month term and renews at US$9.99/mo, but allows 10 websites. Pick Bluehost if you need several sites on the entry plan; pick Hostinger for the lowest upfront cost (official pages, checked 4 Nov 2026).

How this page was made: I compared each vendor’s official pricing and feature pages on 4 Nov 2026. Hands-on test notes are added only after I’ve used the product on a real account; until then they’re marked as pending. My review method.

Which is cheaper over the long run?

Hosting prices are lowest in the first term and jump at renewal, so compare both numbers. Hostinger Premium starts lower (US$1.99 vs US$3.99/mo) but renews slightly higher (US$10.99 vs US$9.99/mo). Hostinger’s low price also needs a 48-month prepayment; Bluehost’s needs 36 months. If you’ll keep the site for many years, the renewal rate matters more than the intro rate.

Which is better for WordPress?

Both install and host WordPress. Bluehost’s plans list managed WordPress updates, a staging site, SSH and WP-CLI, and it says it has worked with WordPress since 2005 and is recommended by WordPress.org. Hostinger’s plans include managed hosting for WordPress, free staging, SSH and WP-CLI, plus its own AI Builder if you don’t want WordPress (official page, 4 Nov 2026).
