Best for: quick picks
- Best for teams building together: Lovable, because members are unlimited and draw on one shared credit pool.
- Best free plan to experiment with: Bolt.new, with 1M tokens a month and public or private projects.
- Best for solo builders on Pro: a close call at the same price; Bolt.new’s token rollover and no daily limit suit bursty use, Lovable’s credits are easier to predict per prompt.
- Best for larger organisations: both have Enterprise plans; Lovable lists SCIM directory sync and EU inference, Bolt lists SSO, audit logs and 24/7 priority support.

Which is cheaper, Lovable or Bolt.new?
On the sticker price they’re level: both Pro plans are US$25/mo. Lovable’s yearly billing gives 2 months free; Bolt says yearly billing saves up to 28%. For teams the maths changes. Lovable doesn’t charge per seat, so a Business plan at US$50/mo covers any number of members sharing its credits. Bolt Teams is US$30 per member a month, and each paid member gets their own token allowance.
Credits or tokens: what’s the difference?
Lovable charges credits per message. Its pricing page gives examples: “Make the button gray” costs 0.50 credits and “Add authentication with sign up and login” costs 1.20. In Plan Mode, each message is 1 credit. Bolt charges tokens for the work it does reading your prompt and files, planning and writing code, so bigger projects use more tokens per change. Neither unit maps neatly onto the other, so the fairest test is to build the same small app on both free plans.
What do you get free?
Lovable’s free plan gives a daily grant of 5 build credits (up to 30 a month), 20 Cloud credits a month, unlimited collaborators and 5 lovable.app domains, with invite-only publishing. Bolt’s free plan gives 1M tokens a month with a 300K daily limit, public and private projects, website hosting, up to 333K web requests and unlimited databases, with Bolt branding on sites (official page, 4 Nov 2026).
Lovable: best for teams building together
Pro (US$25/mo) adds 100 monthly credits on top of the free grants, credit rollovers, on-demand top-ups, custom domains, user roles, per-member credit limits and removal of the Lovable badge. Business (US$50/mo) adds a team workspace, role-based access, SSO and a security centre. Lovable says you own the code and apps you build (official page, 4 Nov 2026).
Trade-off: heavy builders can run through 100 credits; top-ups cost extra.

Bolt.new: best for solo builders who want room to experiment
Pro (US$25/mo) removes the daily token limit, starts at 10M tokens a month, rolls unused tokens over for up to 2 months, and adds custom domains, private site sharing, SEO boosting, a 100MB upload limit, up to 1M web requests and a choice of database provider (official page, 4 Nov 2026).
Trade-off: on Teams, tokens aren’t pooled, so a light user’s allowance can’t cover a heavy user.
