Brevo review

By Cathy Riddell · Prices checked 25 Oct 2026 · Last updated 25 Oct 2026

Short answer: Brevo is a strong fit for small businesses that want marketing email, transactional email and SMS in one account. The free plan lets you send up to 300 emails a day with no credit card. Paid plans are priced by email volume rather than contacts, which can suit businesses with big lists who send rarely.

How this page was made: I compared each vendor’s official pricing and feature pages on 25 Oct 2026. Hands-on test notes are added only after I’ve used the product on a real account; until then they’re marked as pending. My review method.

What does Brevo do?

Brevo covers email campaigns, marketing automation, transactional email (API and SMTP on every plan), SMS (credits sold separately) and, on higher tiers, WhatsApp, pop-ups and push notifications. It also sells sales/CRM add-ons.

What are Brevo’s plans?

PlanWhat the official page lists
FreeUp to 300 emails/day; no card required
StarterFrom 5,000 emails/mo; drag-and-drop editor, templates, AI content, segmentation, forms, email support
StandardAdds marketing automation, A/B testing, advanced reporting, send-time optimisation, 1 landing page
ProfessionalFrom 150,000 emails/mo; WhatsApp, pop-ups, push; 10 seats; phone support
EnterpriseMulti-account management, dedicated IP, SSO, custom onboarding

Prices: Free plan (up to 300 emails/day); paid plans: check current pricing (official page, checked 25 Oct 2026).

Is the Brevo free plan any good?

For a small list it’s generous on sending: 300 emails a day. Brevo says pay-as-you-go credits don’t expire, which suits occasional senders.

What are the trade-offs?

  • Volume-based plans mean you have to estimate monthly sends, not just list size.
  • Automation sits on Standard and above, not Starter.
  • SMS is extra (credits sold separately).

Who should use Brevo?

Shops and service businesses that send order or booking emails alongside newsletters, and businesses with big lists who email infrequently.
